Trail Mini 18L Storage cubby/dog den/hamper mod.

The Trail Mini 18L has an exterior 'basement' storage that is basically useless when the shell is down. We store our hoses, lights, tools, etc in a Rubbermaid tote on the deck.
So, to utilize that space on the Inside while camping, I carefully removed the cabinet wall under the drawer, then cut a carpet remnant to fit. Now we have a place to put the hamper basket (instead of on top of the counter, unsightly at best!), and Trixie claimed it as hers (she tucks in further when sleeping).

I know this exact mod is only useful to the few 18L owners out there, but maybe you have a similar space you can access under a couch or drawers.

Great idea!

My 3023 has a similar space, only accessible when the rear shell is open. But it abuts the shower wall, so no real way to create access to it from inside - except through the side wall of a cabinet next to it, which would be awkward accessibility, at best.
