Well, we finally broke down and upgraded our TV... Last night we took delivery of a 2016 Dodge Durango R/T

- 5.7l Hemi
-- 360 Hp / 390lb/ft Torque
-- MDS (Multi Displacement System)
- AWD with 2-speed transfer case
- Factory Tow
-- Class IV hitch
-- Load-leveling shocks
-- 4/7 pin wire harness
-- Full-size Spare

Now, just need to get it setup proper to tow, then get out there and enjoy...

(I know, I know. I need to update my Sig pic. Will do once setup to tow).

You'll have plenty of inside room and lots-o-power to boot! If I were you I would strap on the biggest trany cooler that will fit and get the extra large finned trany pan. Heat is what kills tranies the fastest and with a bigger cooler and pan you'll also be adding more fluid to the mix and that spells longer lasting viscosity and cooler trany fluid too. A couple of hundred bucks can save you thousands on a premature trany rebuild!

...especially if you're towing in Arizona in the summer.

don't know, yet. Itching to try. Probably more than enough (given that, though my previous TV probably should not have towed the TM, it did, a couple of times, and was able to get up to highway speed on an on-ramp).

That should have the same electronics as my GC (same chassis, more seats) and have a display for both the oil and the trans temps. I'd monitor those and decide if more cooling is needed (mine runs very cool even towing on a 90+F day).

Hemi should be nice with the 3124 and that should have the new shifter.

yes, and yes. It has the twist knob transmission (P R N D) and paddle shifters (gears 1 - 8). No tow-haul mode, so not sure if I should keep the transmission manual or just trust the computer? As for trans and oil, yes I have both gauges and intend to keep an eye on them (but not more so than the road).

I'd let the computer do the shifting unless in windy hilly areas where you know what you need before the computer does.

As I recall they like 89 octane gas (but will run OK on 87) and need to change all 16 spark plugs at about 20k increments.

Well, just like gonzo628, I too got a new tow vehicle. It's a 2016 Ram 1500 Quad cab. It has the 5.7 Hemi with 8 speed trans, 3.21 axle and 32 gallon fuel tank. I failed to get the anti-spin differential, for which I keep beating myself on that error, but I know I have more than enough power for the TM. I had the cap top installed yesterday and it also has the sprayed in bed liner.
Although in the picture it looks black, it's the Luxury Brown color with the Canyon brown/tan interior. I also have the rotary shift selector knob like gonzo628 and Padgett, verses an on the colom shifter. Way too many bells and wistles, but I do love it. My old 2008 will be going to a dear freind and she's can't wait to get it.
I'm taking it out this weekend and will get to see how the integrate brake control works and will be able to monitor all my systems.
Since I'll be gone, I wish my fellow TMO's and vets have a great and safe Forth of July.
