Default How to test for roof leaks

I am interested in a TM used, I am replacing my 3124KS.

What is the best way to test for roof leaks? Sure a hose, but will this simulate a downpour? I don't need to test for super strong thunderstorm, I understand things could get comprimised. I just want to be sure under normal, rainy conditions this thing won't leak.

suggestions?

thanks to you all for your work on making this site a great resource.

Chuck

Water gets in many ways. Generally it is not the pressure of the down pour, but the amount of water lying on the roof. Flood the roof with a hose and you should be OK. The other areas that leak are windows and running lights. So spray water on them as if it were driven by driving at 55 mph.

I would probably take it to a drive through car wash. The kind where you use the wand and wash it yourself.

The pressure from the wand might peal the decals.

And peel the caulk. A pressure washer could be too strong and cause more problems.

After the TM factory fixed my roof, Ed said they put it under some sprinklers to test it.
