u haul tires

i've recently discovered that u-haul trailers use goodyear HMG 2020
tires???? does anyone know about these .....should we consider these???

I believe Freedom (as I have him on my list) is using these tires on his trailer, with no problems. Maybe Jim will chime in here.

I was informed years ago (and this may have changed) that uhaul branded tires were the property of uhaul. They were supposed to be drilled thru the sidewall, so aftermarket applications could not use them, if they were taken off of a uhaul trailer. I know this never worked in real-life because uhaul themselves have sold some of their older trailers and such with the tires on them. A Goodyear dealer should be able to order these tires for you, if he wants to.....but may have to grind the uhaul name off the side.

As I said, this is years old information, and it may not apply anymore.... or Goodyear might even offer the tire without Uhaul's name on it.
