We look forward to meeting all of the TM owners at the rally in
October. We are under 90 days.

We will be be heading out in a couple of hours to meet up with Sharon
and Andy for the weekend to discuss rally details.

If you (or anyone) has any special needs or requests for the rally
you can email them to [email protected]

Regards,

Larry & Veronica

Would anyone want to carpool and visit Pt. Reyes, and pick up some fresh oysters at the oyster farm for the rally potluck on Saturday night?

I sometimes get a little tired of kicking chocks in. Some people use a BAL leveler. I have never seen one.

If anyone at the rally is using anything other than chocks I would like to see what they are doing.

Which brings up the point that there may be some other people that are looking to see something specific that someone else may have done. I'm sure that the topic of modifications will come up over the coarse of the weekend. Things like drawers, dual batteries, cutoff switch.

But there may be some more subtle things. Perhaps we should have a method of people asking to see something and then someone that happens to have that can speak up. We could have a list at check in time for people to write down what they are interested in seeing, or we could collect some information either in this thread or a different thread.

As another example, if someone wanted to see a Honda generator, I have one. But I will have no reason to bring it with me unless I knew ahead of time that someone was curious.

Wayne,

I have the Bal leveler. I used it for the Aliner I used to have. Have never used it on the TM. Not even sure if the weight of the TM might be too much for it. I will bring it if you are interested. I might even part with it if someone is interested (and they verify it works for them).

I had not considered weight limits for the BAL leveler. If it is not practical for the TM, then I am losing interest fast.

The topic of BAL comes up frequently on other forums. I never made the connection with popups.

I bought a BAL leveler for my TM and found that I only used it once, the width of the Marathon tires made getting the unit under the tire almost impossible. I gave up on using it pretty quickly.

Wayne,
I have a BAL leveler that I use all the time at home and some of the time on the road. It is a little hard to push under the wheel but it can be done. It's easier to install and remove from under the wheel if you take up some weight (1"-2") on the TM jacks.
