Default Tire Failures

Just out of curiosity, of those who have experienced tire failures (excluding tires over 8 years old), how many had a standard hitch vs a Weight Distributing Hitch (WDH) ?

On the trailer or on the TV?

Was thinking trailer, TV is a whole different issue.

Our tire failure was tires 1 week past 4 years and had nothing to do with the WDH. We have towed thousands of miles with a WDH on other trailers and not had a tire failure. We almost always have a tire failure either on the TV or trailer in NM. That is the only place we have peeled a tread off a tire. For a more valid poll you need additional info such as road surface at the time, speed, properly inflated. What was the trailer weight on the scales. All the variables need to be pined down.
