One of these days I will take the time to merge the comments with my original post.

Thanks for adding your thoughts and experience.

fwiw I started driving 4wd around 1969 when I was 16. 1947 Willys.

When I buy tires for the cars my primary requirement is hydroplane performance.

For my trucks, mud is the primary requirement. 6 to 10 inches of clay. And I will tow the TM in this muck.
