Default anyone modded the shower for...

Has anyone came up with a mount to attach the handheld shower to either the wall or ceiling? It would be nice to not have to hold the shower in your hand while rinsing off.

Dave -

Lots of discussion on this - look for an original post by Hal, and many followups. It is a good idea to get to know the Search function.

It won't help for total hands free showering, but to prevent having to bend up and down for the shower head and soap, my wife sewed a "loop" onto the shower curtain at shoulder level - she also sewed a "pocket" for the soap next to the loop. Loop holds the shower head (while using hands to lather soap) and the pocket holds the soap (while using shower head to rinse off) - works perfect - no more bending up and down for soap or shower head. Just remember to placed shower head on floor of tub when folding down.

When we bought our 2007 3124 KS new it came with a shower holder screwed to the back wall...the one in front of the rear bed. This item is readily available from camping suppliers for example Camping World: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ll-mount/34913 They used to come in a cream color for about 2.79 and that may still be available at other rv supply stores. The one that came with my TM is cream colored.

I have never had any damage to this bathroom wall due to moisture. I did line my walls with thin clear vinyl like Commodore 47 did. Since the water sprays forward there has been no problem.

I had about two feet of # 8 copper wire that I bent into a hook over the wall and a loop at the bottom to hold the spray nozzle.

My previous mod (discussed elsewhere) was to put snap channel on the top of the walls and install a piece of heavy plastic to line the walls down into the tub so you don;t have to have the clingy shower curtain all the way around you.

Default Over Door Shower Basket / Wand Holder

I thought I'd share some pictures of my solution, inspired by Hal's great instructions. I was shopping for the soap-dispenser when I found this basket and realized that it would work pretty well for what I wanted.

Like others have mentioned, this doesn't give me a hands-free setup but I don't mind because I prefer to turn the water flow down to trickle and it would be harder to do that if I had to turn around each time.

The basket I used is at Bed, Bath & Beyond, link here:

I found the condiment bottles at Wal-Mart - I expect they could be found anywhere. They happened to fit perfectly in this basket.

We attached a metal plate to the outside wall then got a shower head holder and attached a magnet to it. We put it up when we set up and take down when we tear down. No worry about holes thru the curtian and works GREAT!!!

Thumbs up

I used medium size Picture Hanger Command Strips.

Place 2 strips side by side with the pull tabs down on the back of the shower head holder. Trim the top and sides even with the shower head holder. Stick to the wall above the shower valves. Don't forget to detach the shower head holder from the wall before closing the TM. The Command Strips have stayed in place for 1 1/2 years now.

I am also experimenting with using the Command Strips to replace the Velcro strips for the front flap seals. I used 2 strips to replace the Velcro strips that hold the flaps up when closing the TM. These have remained in place for the last 1 1/2 years.

So far the hot summer temperatures have not softened the adhesive.
