I always add 25% to the static load to account for curves and bumps.

Lots of good stuff here. My tires are rated for 2875 lbs load range E, 15" at 80 PSI! seems like a lot to me. Will be pulling through Las Vegas hot this weekend. From reading the responses I feel that 70 psi is OK but would 65 be better?

Yes, starting cold at 65 psi will be fine, especially towing in the summer heat. Last weekend we came through the desert and my tires went up 10 psi by mid morning, according to the TPMS reading.
