Default Problem with front shell seals.

We bought our 2619 used. One thing we noticed right away was that we would have a lot of dirt and dust in the front of the trailer. We also noticed a little moisture around the seals but didn't think much of it. Recently while taking care of some rust under the trailer I found why this was happening. As you will see in the pictures, there is a large gap where the seals are in the front shell. The side walls are square. The best I can tell the seals just were not installed correctly.

I had to come up with a fix. My fix was to add another seal. I used a garage door bottom seal because of its flexible nature. I have attached pictures just in case someone else has a similar problem. I will follow up after a couple of trips to let everyone know how it worked out.

Excellent solution, simple and inexpensive. Good job.

Thanks, Dave! That is a great solution. As you know, I have the same problem with the large gaps in the bulb seal that you can stick your hand through. I will have to do this fix.
What year is your 2619? Mine is an early '09.
