Default Thetford Leak

This past weekend when I pulled the easy slide liquid started to leak onto the ground. It was coming from somewhere above the exposed plumbing visible under the TM. The toilet was only 2 bars above the charge indicator when I pulled the easy slide, so it was not over full. Any thoughts of where I should start to look to solve problem?

There are only 2 likely places for the leak -- in between the EZ Slide valve and the toilet, or the EZ Slide valve and the floor. It's probably the latter, but the good news is that either is easy to fix.

Does your toilet rock at all, as in not seated firmly to the floor? If yes, then I would first tighten it up a bit to see if that resolves the problem. If it doesn't, then I would remove the toilet and replace the closet flange seal (which goes in between the EZ Slide valve and the drain pipe going outside) and the gaskets in the EZ Slide valve. Then reinstall the toilet.

Dave has the real, permanent, solution. The temporary solution is to pull the outside valve first, and then pull the EZ-Slide valve.

Thanks Dave. I am going to remove the toilet this weekend.
