Default TM Owners w/Factory Installed LCD - Cable Reception

In a prior post on this issue we had commented that cable reception was not available on this factory installed option. WE WERE WRONG.

To receive campground cable on your LCD, connect the campground cable to the outside cable connection on your TM, turn OFF the Wingaard preamplier, turn on your Fahrenheit unit over the reefer and using the source button on your remote to select TV. You will receive cable reception on channels 2-13 ONLY. On our LCD picture and sound were excellent. Somewhat disappointed that it was only 2-13, but that's better than nothing. This included all the major broadcast networks and PBS. Most of you probably already knew this, but just in case for those that might not have realized it.

Shandy -

Reception limited to channels 2-13 sounds like you have selected "Antenna" in the setup menu. Actually, that may be the default setting, meaning that you didn't select it, it was just there. Keep looking down through the menus - probably somewhere other than "source" - and see if there isn't a selection for "Cable" or something like that.

Once you turn off the amplifier, there is a button on the remote to do a channel scan.
Hook up tv cable from outside source to outdoor trailer coax connector and then do a
new channel scan. You should then recieve all channels available.

Well, we've tried everything we can think of with ours, and are still only able to get channels 2-13. I can't find anywhere in the setup menu to change anything to 'cable'. It was very frustrating last year when we wanted to watch the Tennessee/Memphis basketball game, which was televised, but couldn't get anything above channel 13. Tried the channel scan (which scans up through channel 70) but won't tune anything in. I've given up.

Default Doesn't Look Good

Then it appears that Ed Lytle was right then--only channels 2-13 for the LCD owners. Will give it a try next when we camp again on Labor Day Weekend.
