Default Couch fold down arm

I made the arm on the couch by the door to fold down. This makes the couch 9 " longer for my son to sleep on. Here are the pictures of the fold down arm. The latch is shown in the last picture, you can see the slide pin that latches into the stainless plate on the arm. The plate also keeps the small cushion from falling off. I have pictures of the bare wood before it was covered also. I spaced the hinge out about 1-1/8” to make up the ½” foam and pad. The material on the door side is not cut, and from the door side the arm does not have a hinge crack.
