Default Switch, Silver Bubble, and Recliner Chair

We're still trying to figure out how everything works on our "new" 2009 2720SL.

Does anyone know what the switch in the upper right corner of the picture is for (red box)? It's located on the side of the stove just inside the door. We turned it on, but couldn't figure out what it did. It wasn't on the parts diagram for the stove in the owners info we received.

Also in the picture on the bottom is a silver "bubble" (red box). Does it serve any purpose?

And a question about the "recliner" chair ... I can make the foot rest/recliner come out, but the minute we put our legs on it and apply pressure, it starts moving down. I've tried playing with the black lever between the cushion and armrest, but can't make it stay up. Any suggestions? Or is it broken?

Default Since ours

doesn't have those I'll take a guess that the switch in the pic is supposed to turn on the light, silver bubble as a step light and the bulb is bad, or fuse bad somewhere.
For the recliner we changed ours out but poor memory thinks you had to release the foot rest with the arm on the side of the chair.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the silver bubble is indeed a step light. With all the cleaning I did, I didn't even notice that the bottom of it is clear and there's a light bulb inside. The switch on the top of the picture must turn it on and apparently the bulb is burned out.

Still haven't figured out how to make the footrest on the recliner stay up ...

Ours is the same. I think it happens because there is no counter balance as the back doesn't recline. The weight of you legs is just too much for it. I'm investigating a way to increase friction on the mechanism. It would also need a release of some sort.

The chair was missing from mine so I bought one of these. Works just fine and folds flat so can just put on step of slide.
