Maybe I’m just not seeing pictures. I just now noticed since they started tinkering with the forum I haven’t seen any new pics.

Shane826 - They're up now, or at least I can see it on my end. Looking at it more now, almost looks like the VIN decal has been put over another one with some typing bleed through.

Yep I see em now. That’s definitely a reprint of some sort. Note there’s no tire or loading info. Here’s what my super faded tag looks like from 2007.

Ok, thanks for the picture! Definitely helps seeing what the factory one looks like. I took that off my saved list on Facebook.

Online VIN decoders are notoriously poor, especially for RVs, and I have found a couple that say the VIN is invalid. But at least one RV VIN decoder
https://vinpit.com/vin-check/1T930BF1041074103
does identify the unit as a 2004 Trailmanor. That's good.

As for the diamond plate, TM is now putting diamond plate on the front wall of the front shell, as a stone guard. I think diamond plate might have been offered as an option during some earlier years, but I can't be sure. A romp through The Wayback Machine would tell you. I know that a few owners put on diamond plate themselves.

But there is no reason to have a stone guard on the rear of the trailer, no reason to wrap it around the sides, and no reason to have it on either of the lower walls, front or rear, since these walls are covered when the unit is folded down for transit. Also, the diamond plate covers the outside door to the rear storage compartment.

My guess - and it is only that - is that the diamond plate was added to cover damage when the unit was hit from behind, or possibly backed into a tree. It doesn't look objectionable in my opinion, and the fact that the trailer looks good inside is a plus. But if those rear walls were damaged, I would be concerned about leaks.

So my conclusion is that it is a 2004 Trailmanor. The triangular cabinets at the entry door say that it is either a 3023 or 3124. It is not a 3326 because that model had two axles. I think (again) that there was a kind of experimental 3225 model at one point - but not in 2004.

I'm not sure that any of this really helps unless the seller really opens up to you. He must have some other paper work - recent registration, for example. How about insurance documents? If he is in an accident after submitting bogus info to his insurance company, they will likely deny his claim. And they will check all fields of the VIN, not just the 2 or 3 that I checked. By the way, the VIN appears on at least 3 places on the trailer - the one shown is simply the handiest and easiest to find. All we really know is that Trailmaster and T3 are bogus.

I agree with Bill - that diamond plate is there because the shell was heavily damaged at some point. There's no other reason to put it there -- it adds weight, it covers a nice expensive window, and would be a fair amount of work.

I wonder if, as part of the salvage title -- or "rebuilt" title -- they had to name it differently, or could name it differently, and that's how that new VIN sticker got there.

According to this VIN database, which was just the first one I came to, there's some unusual history behind it:
https://www.clearvin.com/en/payment/...0bf1041074103/

And according to this VIN decoder by the NHTSA, the digit that specifies the manufacturer seems to perhaps be "off":
https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/Decoder

And even if you just Google the VIN, you'll get some hits.

Dig deep!

Dave

As I looked at the pictures, you can see on the street side by the water heater, there's what I would say was a skin wrinkle from a rear impact. They tried using paint or something to camouflage it. I didn't see signs of skin wrinkle on the curb side or the diamond strip trim on the bottom, so most of the impact was on the street side. They did a good job with repair, but there's a good amount of diamond plating.

And more of the same by the outside shower.

Just signed up and seeking help. Wife and I are looking for either a Trail Manor (1st choice) or a pop-up (2nd). We came across an ad on Facebook for a 2004 and the model is a TM3 Trail Master. On Google, all I get is either references to the 3023 or 3124. My understanding is the 3023 has a Queen bed, the 3124 a King, which is what we are looking for. Only discussion I could find on here via "Search" was about the TM23. Anyone know which or what the TM3 is? Thanks!

Default TM or pop ip

We started out with a canvas pop-up. It served it’s purpose. It was very inexpensive and light. The problem was that it could not remain cool when the temperatures increased over about 92°. Also got cold in the winter.

We purchased a trail manner. It is a 2004 model 2619. We purchased it secondhand. We have owned it 15 years. While all campers have their pros and cons I am extremely satisfied with a Trail Manor. It fits in my garage. It’s pretty easy to tow. It remains cool even when the temperature outside is 100°. It also remains warm when temperatures drop to 18° outside. It’s a little bit of a project to set up. I have discovered that set up is easiest the more level the camper is placed on the campground pad.
