Default Looking....

Hi All

Well lets see I am 52 yrs old. Could retire from my job in 3 years but will get low retirement pay... Then mid range pay at 8 years @ 60 years of age and
11 years 6 months ( who's counting) at 64 and high end pay ( 30 years ) .

I am truly looking at mid range to high end retirement numbers.

Now its only the wife and I and maybe a grandson -we like to travel when we retire. The question is - is it to early to buy a TT/TM?

I really like the fact I can put it in my garage.

Looking for a midsize unit - maybe

Look at it this way (as with many other things in life)......you could be dead tomorrow for any number of reasons, and if you planned on waiting to buy a TM till you retired, you would have missed out on a whole lot of memories with your wife and grandson. I think it's pretty simple: if you want to go camping, then go camping -- buy a tent or RV or whatever, but just do it. Do it before you no longer have the opportunity.

I have longer than you to go till I retire, and I've had a TM for 7 years, having gone thousands of miles during that time (including 3 cross-country trips) and loved every trip. Have camper, will camp!

+1, Well put SB. I'm 55 and not retiring anytime soon unless the lotto comes knocking on my door. We use our TM several and I mean 6-8 times per year. That's 8 times the fun and memories. The places we've been have been magical and impressive. Wouldn't have it another way.

Totally agree, have owned a popup and now a TM for decades, and only retired this year! Do it while you still can!
