3023 vs 3124KB

We are a family of 6 (4 young children). Does the 3124KB have significantly more room than the 3023?

There are some space enhancements of the 3124 over the 3023.

Beds-
This model has the king bed in the rear. The nice thing about the king bed is that you do not have to crawl over each other when visiting the bathroom, etc.

Storage-
The 3124 has much larger underbed storage than the 3023. The storage is large enough to store a Yamaha 2400 genset in the outside storage. The internal storage, when I have it empty, is used as a clubhouse by the grandson.

Only you can decide if a king bed and the storage is worth the difference for you. I can tell you I like both (I have a 3326). If we had not found such a good deal on the 3326, I would have purchased the 3124KS...

These trailers are extremely similar inside for everyone except the master of the house, who gets the king bed in a 3124kb instead of a queen bed in the 3023 (Ms Adventure would be a good sport, either way). But needing a larger tow vehicle would be a bigger deal to me than settling for the queen bed.

The 3124 is 200# or so more trailer than the 3023. That, plus 500# of kids and their stuff may approach the limits of a 5000# rated tow vehicle (depending on how conservatively your manufacturer assessed the tow limits, how conservatively you load up stuff, and how conservatively you drive) (our 3023 with a moderate load is very nearly 4000#).

We had wonderful times on camping vacations with our 3 sons in popups a lot smaller than TrailManors. I think the 3023 might have helped us make it work better than the 3124 with the kind of tow vehicles that we'd prefer to be driving the 90% of the time when we aren't towing. But, I can absolutely understand why people would go another way on this.

We like the size of the king bed. We also store duffel bags on the side of the bed because of the size. We have 4 kids. The 2 older boys slept in the front bed, my daughter slept on the pull out couch and my youngest slept on the couch by the door. On the couch by the door I made a fold down arm with a 6" extension.

We have a 3023 and camp with two children and (sometimes) a dog. And I would say the camper is full; with a minimal of people bunking into each other or their "stuff". The drawers under the small sofa is used for their clothing, and the cabinets above the front bed is used for their books, journals, and other treasures.

I think we would be hard-pressed to fit two more children and their belongings in our 3023.

The pull-out sofabed may be OK for two little children, but as they grow then the pull-out bed will be good for one.

I do know of people who camp with their pop-up and a tent on the side (either for "stuff" or for extra sleeping space). When your kids are older, perhaps that would be an option. But that's a long way off for us too.
