Default Velcro dots / discs

Hi everyone,

Most of my interior velcro has come off the walls and rather than replacing it with new adhesive velcro, I'm thinking about installing the velcro discs that come installed in the newer models. Can anyone tell me of those discs are commercially available oneline or at hardware stores, or must they be purchased directly from Trailmanor? I've searched the web to no avail...

Thanks!!
Matt

I bought ours direct from Trailmanor, I don't know if they're available anywhere else. They were not expensive and came with the screws. Easy to install and much less noticeable than the strips.

Be very careful in using these, we have already had two break on our 2720SL with only a weeks use. I was going to replace the first one but besides using a screw it was glued in place from the factory. To prevent breaking hold the disc with one hand and separate the other piece from it with your second hand.

Default Re-gluing Loose Velcro Strips

What do the velcro dots look like and do they provide as good a seal as the strips?. A lot of my velcro strips need to be reglued or replaced. That was my chore for tomorrow, use Goof Off to remove the old adhesive and re-glue them with Gorilla Glue or some such. Those of you who have re-glued the strips, what glue did you use?

On our 2010, the dots are only use to hold the side covers up when folding up the TM. I cannot see getting a continuous seal with them like you do with the strip velcro.

I wouldn't use Gorilla glue to glue those on. It's too hard to get it off. I used it to glue my bed slides back on and I vowed to never use the stuff again on the TM.

Gorilla glue swells up and looks really brownish and ugly! You don't want that on a cream TM wall.

My husband used it while building some arrows....and as it swelled up it shot out the inserts he was glueing in. The stuff if I remember right dries hard as a rock too.

We have had the dots for at least two years and have not had any problems.

i have small screws spaced out the length of the velcro strip-seems to help hold everything in place

Roger that on the Gorilla Glue. I didn't know the stuff swelled up as much as it did and unfortunately didn't read your post until AFTER I used the stuff. I used masking tape under the strips before gluing and as the glue seeped out above I wiped it off with a damp sponge. I'll never use that stuff for velcro again.
