A few new mods....

I have some pics of mods that I have done lately....
1) TV cable outlet on base of couch so that your TV can be set up un the door side of the TM. I installed a T on the inside of the TV jack under the shower and ran the cable under the TM and into the front next to the LP hose to the furnace, mounted a cable plate under the couch, use a 90 degree elbow so that the table cab be raised and lowered without unplugging the cable.
2) storage for the awning rafter and crank rod on the back of the couch. Just use 2 screws to mount the rafter, and 2 small broom clamps to mount the crank rod.
3) dress up those stock wheels, chrome center covers and trim rings from AutoAmenity, http://www.autoamenity.com/KartList/TR-15P.htm
They look great. Phil is a great help if you have any questions.

I have been thinking about a extra coax connection to use outside just haven't gotten around to figuring out how to get it from one side to other yet.

I have seen clips wide enough for the rafter in someone else's post but how did you just use two screws?

Good idea on dressing up wheels I am very picky on looks so I purchased full set of wheels for TM very quickly.

I had forgotten about "beauty rings." These were all the rage when I was in high school in the 60's. This was just before the advent of chrome rims and way before alloy rims. It was a cheap and easy way to dress up our hot rod wheels. Add a chrome hub cover and we were lookin' good!!! Never thought about using them on our TM...

Yes I had a Mustang with beauty rings & Center Caps once until I purchased Cragars.

A picture of this would be interesting to me.

Here are the pictures for that post. No the TV is great...the reason that I installed the splitter at the plug under the shower is that it was easier to get the cable under the floor there and also the signal is amplified there when you turn on the booster.
The trim rings look great, and I got the plastic rings as they won't rust and they are a bit cheaper.
As for the rafter mount...it has a sort of hook on each end...I used 2 drywall screws, loosen the tension nut on the rafter and hook the ends on the screws and pull the rafter tight on the screws and tighten the tension nut.It won't come loose.

Here are a few more mods that I have done...I keep forgetting that I have done them.
1) sewer hose carrier, made of 4" PVC drain pipe with holes so that the hose will dry, mounted under the TM, it frees up your bumper for carrying the stabalizer crank, your 30 AMP extension cord and other things.
2) installed a shelf in the rear storage compartment for double the room.
3) shower caddy cut down to fit in the corner of the bathroom on the countertop between the mirror and window, to hold all your toiletries while camping. You can pick up the caddy at WalMart for about $13.
4) brush type mudflap-rock guard mounted on the tow vehicle, cut down from a full size motorhome brush.... mounted to 1/8x1" aluminum angle, use exhaust clamps to mount to hitch, Chevy uses round tube. You can go all the way across if the spare tire allows enough room, Chevy doesn't. You can use square clamps ie. axle spring U-bolts easily made to order at a spring shop. With the extra left over brush I had enough to mount the rest on the TM.

Was thinking of doing like your hose tube but in front of the wheels for ground clearance.

Enjoyed your mods and gave me some ideas. Curious about the clips you installed on the couch back. Out 2008 2720 SL came with them. Suprising the 2009 2720 SL did not.
