Default TM Satellite TV dish?

I'm curious to know more about the Satellite TV dish option that's available on the TM. (I wasn't aware it was an option when I purchased last summer.) We currently lug around a dish on a tripod, but I hear that you can get one that already fits on the TM?

Anyone got photos or specs about the dish? Any idea on the cost if ordered from the factory? Would it be easy to install in place of the current TV antenna?

THANKS!

An old RVer told me that a tripod is a better idea. Since you never know if you are going to have a good view or angle.

Default Satelite dish

I found these in my collection.
I really don't know any more than this photo. It is not my installation, but it is a factory installation and replaces the conventional TV antenna.

Thanks for the photos, Bob! Seems as though it's a Winegard -- same folks who make the regular TV antennas on the TM. Any idea if it fits over the same opening, making the installation easier? Does it work with DirecTV?

I agree that the tripod mount gives a better chance of ultimately getting a signal no matter the campsite, but most times, I've simply found the hassle isn't worth it. So far, most of our camping trips have been extended weekends, leaving after the kids get out from school on Fridays. That leaves me trying to find a signal with the dish well after dark. I'd be completely content with arriving somewhere, giving it a try after a few minutes from INSIDE the TM, and if nothing, then going the weekend without live TV. This dish seems to be the ticket.

Thanks again for the help, y'all!
