Default Installed tires and repacked the bearings today

I had my tires mounted on 15" rims this week. I thought that since I had the wheels off , I might as well check the bearings. I needed the peace of mind since I have never inspected them since purchasing our TM. The bearings looked good. I replaced the grease seals. Per Dexter , I cleaned out the old grease and replaced it with lithium grease. I had to clean out my grease gun too. Dexter says that you can't mix old grease with the red lithium grease. I feel better now knowing what my bearings look like. I am posting a photo of the clearance with 15 " 205 75r tires. I do have a lift kit installed.

I'll be repacking bearings and checking brakes before our first trip. I'll probably purchase a second grease gun specifically for the trailer then. I'm not about to clean out my grease gun for each purpose.

You can probably use the lithium grease on your mower and other things. I am not worried about mixing grease on my mower. I didn't want to mix them on the bearings. The red lithium grease is thicker and more sticky. Moisture doesn't effect it like other grease. The grease gun was not hard to clean since it had a cartridge. I just kept pumping it out until it turned red. I used Lucus lithium grease.
