Very nice!! the Diamond Plate on the new Silver Trail Edition is a DECAL...Not Metal...Looks like metal but a padded Decal. Disappointed!!! Like yours much better. Real Metal!! TM should offer the real thing like many other MFG's offer on the nose. Good Job Again.

Many manufacurers are using the decal, saves weight. Also easy to bend! I have found the material it is available and would cover nicks, not protect I wouldn't think. Maybe reapply
Once in awhile?

The Diamond plate on the SilverTrail is NOT a decal, we own one.....BUT you are correct, the very first prototype SilverTrail DID have the decal diamond plate (I told them it looked cheap).......

Arkydoodle thanks for the info! The one I looked at was in fact one of the prototypes. Good to know that its is actual metal now. How is the quality of the rest of your Silver Trail? Anything about the ST you don't like or would change? How is the finish work on your woodwork/cabinets?? Thanks look forward to your input!!

Sorry Double T for the late response, I just don't get here too often....
Overall we're very happy with the quality and workmanship of the SilverTrail (though that name is kinda weird, I usually end up mangling it into something else like the SilverStreak or SilverBullet)......I have owned other trailers and I've never been fully satisfied with the quality / workmanship / materials used / etc in any of them but TM seems to be getting closer. When I first saw the prototype 2417 I made an off-hand remark (with the factory rep standing there) about how trailer mfgrs always left "work for me to do to when I get it home to fix up shoddy assembly processes and lack of concern when routing wiring and plumbing".....And to prove what I meant, I opened the cabinet beneath the sink and the two water lines were routed diagonally thru the cabinet (shortest line between two points) instead of using a few fittings, routing the lines around the perimeter to leave as much storage space as possible......Needless to say I made a big deal outta this.....And a few days later got a phone call at home from.....BOB!!! I explained my concern and he assured me that they'd take this into account and start building 'em with this in mind from now on. And it was done RIGHT when we picked it up............

I like how Bob seems to be very receptive to constructive suggestions. He has responded to some of my requests, also. I give him high marks as a factory owner!

You said this was riveted to the box. Is it just riveted to the outer aluminum? I'd like more details on how you fastened it. The stone guard looks great!
