Default Mounting tie downs to top of TM for kayak.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this issue - mounting some type of tie downs on the top right ( as u r looking front to back) of my 2720. (opposite side of the door.)
My new TV does not have a luggage rack where I would normally strap my kayak to.
Weight I would think would not be an issue as one is spreading aprox. 40lbs over the entire front section. Wind resistance would pull on the tie down hooks etc. But a kayak is rather streamlined.
I'm not interested in adding a rack to my new TV.
But I am also rather hesitant to add holes to the top of the TM without understanding the consequences.

Thoughts?
Thanks.

Here is a link that might help you. http://www.prolineracks.com/kayak-racks-carriers.html I am not sure on your information below your post of what kind of TV you have, but I would NOT put nothing on the TM roof...

Moaboy -

We have this discussion every couple years, so there is a lot of information and experience out there. You'll find some of it with the Search tool on "kayak" or "canoe".

Thanks. Ok, found the old threads. Does not seem like a good idea considering the construction of the TM roof.
Guess I'll just drag it on the ground behind th tm with a skate board underneath....
