Thanks all! I don't think we will do any fuel conversions just yet. We haven't even purchased the generators so already planning to void warranties seems a bit much It sounds like hauling it in the TM isn't so bad though?
You could also keep the fuel tank empty when towing.
It has been my experience that when my generator is used only to recharge the pair of group 24 batteries that a pint of gas will last about 45 minutes.
By knowing how long I will likely be running the generator I can determine how much gas I want to add.
We transport our Honda 2000i in the bathroom. The only time fumes are a problem is if fuel was spilled during filling.Just rince off spill, odor dissapates quickly.
We had a friend weld tracks on the tongue behind the propane tanks. We have a Champion 4000W and it spans the fame perfectly. We also drilled holes through the tracks and post/cotter pin to keep it secure. We can even open the shell and bed with it in place.
