modifying or adding vent fan

Hi,
Has anyone modified their existing standard vent with a vent fan? I have a 98 2518 with a standard vent and the integrated 12v light switch and would like to replace or retrofit it with a vent fan. I couldn't find any references to it when I searched the threads. Ideally I would like to simply install a fan where the screen is now without having to remove the existing vent but I haven't found anything like that. I could replace the whole vent, since there is 12v already at the light switch I should be able to tap into it but would like to hear from anyone who has already done it.

I don't know of anyone upgrading the vent. The later models have an additional fan vent installed.

You could install this fan, but I'm almost sure that you would have to delete the lights:

Thanks for the info, I found similar items but not the 2nd option, it takes care of the vent cover issue also.
