Default Suzuki XL 7 / 2004 2619

We picked up our brand new
2004 2619 yesterday at Custom RV in Anaheim. We are towing with a 2001 Suzuki Xl 7 2.7 L dual overhead cam 24 valve V6.
We were some what concerned how it was going to tow. The axle ratio is 5.13 to 1
and with that low of gearing it did just fine. We were able to maintain 70 75 mph easily, it pulled down on some fairly steep grades, but I just took it out of overdrive and it maintained 60 to 65 mph at 4,000 rpm's. I could have driven it faster, had plenty of pedal left, but felt it wasn't necessary to push it. The Suzuki V6 is a high rev little engine, red line is 6500 rpm, so 4000 wasn't extreme. We are using a W D hitch. Worked great, we are pleased.

Matt and Scott at Custom RV were great, can't say enough about them, what a great dealership.

Now for the big test, we leave for Klamath Falls, Ore. on the 14th

We feel confident that everything will go fine.
We will report after we get back.
