Default Weight Distribution Hitch for 3124KS

Hi,

Is anyone out there using a WDH on one of the TMs w/ the front sofa pull-outs in front - 2720SL/SD, 3124Ks or 33King? The swinging support arms welded to the trailer A-frame significantly limit what can be used. I've towed our 3124King w/o a WHD using our Nisan Frontier just fine. But the added weight on the rear causes the rear tires to run 10-20 degrees hotter than the front. I'd like to use a WDH to even the load out. The spring arms on the Equilizer hitches are too long to use w/ these units. It looks like maybe the Eaz-lift elite might work ok.

Thanks much!

I use a Robin WDH with my 2720SL. No clearance problems.

I use the Equalizer hitch on ours. I cut the bars off after talking to the factory with no ill effects. I do not have a swing hitch.

I also have an Equalizier on our '07 2720SL (with the slide living room) with no clearance problems. I wouldn't run without it (or something comparable) on your truck.

Thanks,

I still have a piece of it in front of me. It is 3" long. If I remember correctly, I had to cut another 1/2" off in order to give enough clearance when I make a VERY sharp turn.

I use a Reese WDH and wouldn't think of running w/o one. Levels things up nicely and improves towability.

What do use on a 2720SL WITH a swing hitch. Only one of the answers said they did NOT have a swing hitch. I only want to buy a WDH that fits. Thanks for the replys Robert

I have the swing tongue hitch and use a Reese model 70230:

The lift brackets are placed just beyond the swing tongue, as seen in the attached thumbnails.
