I got one from Harbor Freight and it works fine for a few minutes then it falls off all by itself. I am I doing something wrong? I put it just to the right of the RVIA sticker on my 2001 2720SL.

I just got mine today too from Harbor Freight , but my TM is not home, it is at the camp site. I tried it around the house and so far it works good except on wood...

I want it to close the door from the inside instead of pulling on the knob, I hope it works

I have found out that mine too will not stay put on the outside wall by the door. The RIVA sticker is not there but the RV dealer sticker is and below is decals 2619. The handle does rest slightly on the decals so if I am able to remove the dealer decal it would probably work OK. In the meantime I have it placed in the door inside as a closing handle. It woeks well.

I had the same problem. Can't post any thumbanails [need my 12 yo grandson to help men]. I made a loop of the same material as our dog's leash. We attached one under the rubber strip with the far right screw and one in the middle with the middle screw, behind the rubber. Works ok for us. Olga

I have not used mine outside but inside it sticks to the door even when collapsed for a couple weeks and also during travel. It must be the difference in the type of paint? Jackie

In case you were looking for a more permanent solution, I have been pleased with the handle they use on the Elkmont....but you would have to drill holes. Seems to be very solid.

I realize these suction cup handles are designed to be used as grab handles, but I don't think I would feel comfortable relying on one to keep myself up. It may work great one time, and then let loose the next without any warning. Have you ever seen a piece of stain glass hanging in the window fall after the suction cup fell off? The consequences of failure here could mean broken bones....and for some, that could mean a broken hip or knee that could have lifelong effects. Just doesn't seem like a great idea when a handle with bolts could be attached......

Just my 2 cents. FWIW.

Anyone ever thought of attaching one of those real folding handles to the outside of the part of the doorframe that folds in/out? Folded out when the TM is set up, the handle could stick straight out by having it "folded" at 90 degrees, parallel to the doorframe, and when the TM is folded down, that handle can sit in the space in front of the lower half of the door, perpendicular to the frame. You could put bolts all the way through with a backing plate for strength.

Something like this: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...and-rails/5154
