Just mounted 15 inch maxixis so I guess I'll have three marathons 14 inches in the shed till I know someone
who needs some trailer tires. Less than 5000 miles but they were four years old and we are preparing for a July road trip to the smokies. Btw. It's tight getting a 225 75 15 in the spare tire rack

I use hitch pins with several holes and large fender washers with hitch clips to extend the rack downward to handle the 15" tires. I like the multi hole pins as that gives me some adjustability to the rack.

I saw a very neat mod at our last outing, one member added small rubber wheels to a plate attached at the handle end of the spare tire rack with u bolts and he says it makes it very easy to pull the rack out on the wheels.

I am thinking that this might be a mod worth while with the 15"ers.
