Default 3124 w/16 inch rims

I have a 3124KS with 15 inch rims and 225/75R15 tires. I have not seen this tire size mentioned. They are 5 years old (2206) Goodyear Marathons and look great. I was planning a long trip this summer was somewhat concerned about the tires. They look great.

What is the take on 5 year old tires?

Uhhh Joe, would you mind posting a pic of this tire size molded on the tire? Sometimes that 5 in 15 can look a lot like a 6. I catch myself daily, having to relook at tire sizes because of that. The size may also be molded in the sidewall again, near the where the rim/bead is....if you want to look there too.

Not that I'm arguing, it's just I've never seen a 225/75/16 marathon ever offered and would like to doublecheck. I just have this nagging feeling. We definitely want to make sure you order the correct tire for your trailer......especially if you ever mail order them. Wouldn't want you to pay unnecessary shipping, if the size wasn't correct.

Exclamation New Tires, Cheeper than BLOWOUTS!!!!!

Hi Joe,
I spent 35 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. 25 of those years were in their Retail Service Department! You have achieved the life of those tires! A long trip is when you could expect to have problems! Please don't gamble on the fact that they look good! GoodYear makes a good product and is reliable! From past experience I leaned more toward the Maxxis and am very happy with them! I have three nearly new 14" Marathons in my garage with a 06 date code on them. They might have 800 miles on them and the spare has never touched the ground! I have two long trips planned this year so they were the first thing to go! I would use them for short trips but not Long Distance High Speed Travel!

There is a 235/80/16 with a D or E load rating.
