Default braking noise?

Hello owners...I am a new TM owner. Just got back from 1st trip with the TM. I noticed that when I let off of the brake...I hear a clunk noise back at the TM brakes. Almost sounds like the brakes are releasing. Is this a normal noise, for anyone else? A note for anyone looking at this. This happened every time..no matter the setting on the brake controller. The brakes were not locking up either.

Thank for any and all help.

There can be a "clunk" whenever the slack at the hitch moves around, but not typically at the brakes (you could explore your brake noise theory while stopped by having someone else apply the brakes while you stand by the axle). What kind of brake controller do you have?

I would have your brakes inspected. Rather than releasing smoothly they may be sticking and release with a clunk when you take your foot off the pedal. They may just need a cleaning and lube.

Also I've noticed my brakes sometimes remain "on" after taking my foot off the pedal. I need to move the trailer forward a fraction before they release. This "stickiness" usually happens with lots of city braking and a high setting on my Prodigy controller. Perhaps brake heating?
