Default Changing wheel size

Regarding our post on tire blowout, we have a 2006 --2619 which from what I can determine is the last year they installed 14 inch wheels. When I was relating my problems finding a tire to a fellow owner on the road he said he wondered if the wheel size can be changed, I guess I am wondering as well, has anyone done this and does anyone know what the feedback from the factory is about this kind of modification? I now have two new tires, but if the safety of the rig will be improved with the larger wheels I would make the change. After I had problems locating tires I looked at northern tool and they had them available as well . They also sell the identical wheels to what is installed on tm.

Janett -

Once again, please use the Search tool to find hundreds (literally!) of posts on this topic. Search the Tires Tires Tires forum for terms like "wheels", or "15-inch", or "blowout". This thread does not belong in General Discussion, and I will move it to the Tires forum soon.

Thanks.

Bill

15" tires fit on our 2008 2619 just fine. It did indeed come from the factory with 14" wheels and tires.

I do not know if there is any differences between the '06 and '08 2619 TM.

Our 2006, 3023 came with 15" tires. May have been an option in 06, I think even in 05 the larger units came with 14" tires and wheels.
