Default Storage

We put our trunnion springs in the "bumper" storage area of our 3124KS. This is actually a small area in front of the rear bumper. We put the actual hitch in the locked storage area in front next to the propane tanks. You could screw the cover down and add a latch to the rear area and lock it down without to much effort if security is an issue. I drilled two 1/2 inch drainage holes in this compartment as it can accumulate water when the TM is closed. This could cause the bars to rust if the get wet for extended periods.

I also tow a boat and use a regular hitch for that. When we move our TM short distances (under 25 miles or so) we just use the regular hitch and not the equalizer hitch.
