Default Flat Tire

Had our first flat tire on the TM last week. Luckily we were still in the driveway, when I noticed the trailer getting lower and lower as I raised the scissor jack in preparation for our departure. My wife rolled the floor jack out of the garage while I lowered the spare, removed the small 'skirt' over the wheel opening, and began loosening the lug nuts. Someone on the forum had posted info earlier in the week regarding placement of the jack when raising the trailer - "always place jack on frame member, never on axle". So that's exactly what I did - thanks poster!

Anyway, while I mounted the spare, my wife took the flat tire to a nearby tire shop where they 'plugged' the puncture. Surprisingly, she was back in 15 minutes with the repaired tire that is now the spare. We left a few minutes later - less than an hour behind schedule. I'm glad we had the flat in the driveway rather than some freeway!
