Default Scissor Jack for TM 1990 22

I'm going to apologize in advance for my ignorance over all proper terminology but I'll do my best to be clear in my descriptions lol.

I would like to replace the "pull-out, fold down, lock in place" stabilizers that came on my TM with scissor jacks. I'm guessing I should look and see if I can find any that have the same size mounting plate as what is currently on there? Or can I just order 4 that are rated at 5,000# each?

Are there any brands that I should avoid?

I greatly appreciate any insight and tips you're willing to share.

Thanks,
Tina

Welcome to the forum. This subject was just discussed a few days ago, under the first link below. You can order four, the one's I installed on my TM are pricey now, but they are rated for 7500 LBs. I prefer overkill, but the 5000LB jacks will do you just fine. As to being a straight remover and replace, that may not be that easy. Not knowing exactly how the pull down jacks are mounted, you may have some extra steps to go thru to swap them out. If you can post some pictures of the jack mounts that would help the forum members provide you more guidance.

Thank you so much. I'll get pics of them later this week and share them.
