Hey Bill and Kathy...any idea on how to buy or build one of these table inserts? My TM was missing that piece

I'm confused. You say your TM is missing that piece and you want to build one. But you posted pictures of it. If you actually decide to build one, it won't be difficult, except that it will be hard to match the color/texture of the finish, and it will be hard to duplicate the contour of the edges unless you have a router and a bunch of bits.If it would help, I can take pictures and measurements of mine, but my TM is closed up in the garage and won't be accessible for a couple months. Perhaps someone else can help you sooner.

Incidentally, it would be better if you don't post your photos on an external photo-hosting site - in your case, Amazon. The day will come when either Amazon will stop hosting photos and take the storage down, or you will stop being a member of Prime. Either way, your pictures will immediately disappear, and be of no use to anyone. Instead, post your pictures right here on the forum. One of the purposes of this site is to build up a body of knowledge about TMs, and pictures are an important part of that. We want to keep them.

Posting here on the site is easy. Take a look at

Thanks

I'm so glad that you asked this question. We just picked up a nu-2-us 2009 2720SL. We were just starting to pack it today when my daughter noticed that table extension under one of the tables. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how it worked.

A big thanks to all who contributed to solving this mystery. I almost threw the thing out but now that we know how to use it, we'll use it a lot.

I had a 2005 2720SL (about a hundred years ago) and it didn't have that (or I never noticed it). HAPPY DAYS!!!!

I had the same issue and it took me a while to figure it out. But while I was lying on my back trying to figure out how to fix the leg extension that the previous owner had "boogered" up I put 2 & 2 together and VOILA!

Many thanks to all that helped!

In order to keep our table legs from jamming up, we put a screw through the side of the lower piece of each, to act as a stop so it can't slide further in to the upper piece. Now we don't have to worry about anyone not knowing how to not jam them.

That's a great idea... I will implement it as ASAP. THANKS!
