Default 3500 lb Dexter Torflex axle

Anyone know the amount of travel on the torflex arm? I've tried the "google route and so far nothing reliable.

I would contact Dexter directly to get that info.

Or just go to dexteraxle.com, hit Manuals, and work your way down through the menus. The info is there.

Finally found a graphic of the Dexter Torflex Arm with varying start arm angles. The Dexter 3500 lb axle's default start angle is 10° positive ( that's the angle on the TM axles). I was trying to determine if there would be sufficient clearance to switch from a 14" 5 on 4 1/2" 'wheel to a 15" 5 on 4 1/2" wheel without a riser kit. Unfortunately there is only 3" of wheel well clearance as it is and that's with the torflex arm at the loaded angle. At the shock angle the 15" tire would be at or very near rubbing the top of the WW. Dexter recommends a 3" bump clearance, so it's not to be. On to plan B.

Default Replacing 14" wheels with 15"

My 2006 2720 SL has 15" wheels & tires with no lift kit. The TM was like that when I
bought it in 2014. I have not noticed any issues with the 15" tires and clearance in the
wheel wells. I don't go offroad!
Just an FYI. Try it, you might like it. Install the lift kit later if you think it is needed.

Thanks Tim, my '07 2720 has the 10° down angle and the minimum 3" clearance in the wheel well. Dexter Axle's Torflex arm angle can't be changed either so it would mean 2" clearance at best were I to go to a 15" wheel. Something to think about though. Btw.,too, the recommendation from every site I've searched is to maintain a loaded wheel well clearance of at least 3" . I may pull one side up on one of our local, "bet you'll slow down next time", speed bumps and see how the old girl behaves.
