I bought a used 2720 and got into a situation where I needed to reinstall
the F45 awning. The 12 mounting screws were all rusted, and I replaced
them with #10 stainless screws that are a little bit bigger so they grip much
better. I also used some gutter seal caulk on and around the screws.
The standard mounting brackets had not been used, and I think aluminum
angles were screwed into the top of the roof to raise up the awning higher
for clearance to allow the door to open and close.
Except for the cheap factory mounting screws that rusted, I am impressed
with the F45 awning and its smooth operation.
