Default Towing a TM 2619 with a Volvo XC90 T6 ???

I sent an e-mail to a member with no response... so...

There was a post by a guy that has a 2016 Volvo XC90 and his TrailManor. He was glowing about how good it was towing it. That brings me to my question.

We have a 2018 Volvo XC90 and just put a deposit on a beautiful 2007 TM 2619. The current owner has it all rigged up for a weight distributing hitch system and that's what he uses when towing with his minivan.

For others out there with XC90's do you tow vanilla or do you use a WD system? If it's the latter, what hitch do you have mounted on the Volvo? Since the re-design in 2015, even with the specs saying 5,000# and 500#, Curt and DrawTite dropped their WD-rated hitches because Volvo told them to stop offering them.

Do I just resign my desire to go TM, or is their a hitch that will work with the XC90 T6? Please let me know how you are rigged so I can buy my hitch and go get my trailer.

Thanks!

cookieman, prices can vary greatly depending on condition, and especially location. Trailmanors found out west can be several thousand more than those from the east. I believe that this is due to original delivery costs to the west coast making the original sales costs higher. The way I looked at it was that I knew the Trailmanor could last many years, so I wasn't overly concerned about the capital cost. You could drive a long distance to get one, but spend all your savings in fuel to get it.

The Trailmanors in my area that ever came up for sale sold within days. I had called one guy and said he would show it on a weekend. Some one bought it sight unseen before the weekend, even before I could see it. Unfortunately for the buyer, these are unique enough that they are a sellers market.
