Default triple towing

I saw a guy towing a trailer and a boat today,, didn't know it was even legal.. I personally have my hands full towing 1 item,, but just curious if anyone has or does triple tow
I googled it and it appears it is legal in 28 states

I wouldn't, since I have a Grand Cherokee for TV. I have an inflatable canoe, so I don't need to tow a boat. But, I have seen a few "triple" rigs on the highway. Would not want to tow around town with one, that's for sure!

Not allowed in Florida & at least 4 hours to any other state.

There is a comprehensive list of towing laws and requirements, including triple-towing, at

http://onlinetowingguide.com/towing_laws.html

The states don't seem to agree on much. For example, many states require that if you tow anything, you carry flares. Everybody got 'em?

Although this site has a lot of info in a compact form, I have trouble getting a scroll bar to show up. Fortunately, there is a PDF version of the table.

I do! Who knows if they are any good though... Found a whole box of them in a used car at the dealership where I used to work. That was the first clue it was a retired police car. Apparently I don't have to have them here in NY, though.

What's really interesting in that article is the speed limits by state. I had no idea I was limited to 55mph when towing! But the AAA website says towing speed limit is the same as posted for regular cars. I need to do some more research on this.

Last year they had a crack down on tandem towing along US 441/301. First time I had ever heard of it being enforced in FL.
Commercial I understand as they should have the training but doubt the average RV does.

Long long ago Florida allowed tandem (tractor, trailer, trailer) rigs only on Florida's turnpike and I remember a parking area in the center of the turnpike approach at Wildwood that always had a number of tandem dollies sitting there.

Currently the statutes (316.515) seem to allow for double trailer commercial units but not private: "No combination of commercial motor vehicles coupled together and operating on the public roads may consist of more than one truck tractor and two trailing units."
