I was told that these systems will work with rubber valve stems, but since they can be less reliable they recommend metal ones. By the way Tire Tracker and Tire Minder come from the same manufacturer, but different retailers /marketers in the the US, thus different names.

I just spoke with Debbie Fields at TST and purchased a 2-sensor 507 flow-thru system for $143. She was very nice and answered all my questions. Now I just need to get the TM out of the garage and go get some metal stems installed at the tire place. Debbie also told me to get some dielectric grease to put on the stems.

You did good CM. You got the same 10% off deal Bill got earlier this year.


The sensors should give us some assurance when dealing with the questionable ST tires that seem to be mostly what're available today.
Several have said that they only way they knew they had a flat was when another passing driver told them.
