Default Jack placement

Can anyone tell me where is the best place go put the jack when changing a tire?

I place it under the frame rail, just in front of the tire. Then I run both of the stabilizer jacks down, before removing the tire.

Big thing is Do Not jack on the axle beam, just the frame.

Might depend on the model. The Owner's Manual for my TM2619 says to place the jack behind the tire under the frame.

The frame in front of the tire has a hole for the torsion bar to pass through it. There are no holes in the frame behind the tire.

I generally carry a few short pieces of 2x4 with me and one between the jack and the frame will spread the load. Last time I jacked, put it just behind the hole.
