Default Anyone hear of these tires?

A tire store that will actually install tires on my TM wants to sell me Pegasus Gladiator ST215/75R14 C tires. They are about $105 each, installed, taxed and out the door.

It's tempting but I never heard of these tires.

Well, the tires are Chinese, with the plant partially owned and tires distributed by American Pacific Industries: "API joined the partnership with the owners of Good Friend Tyre, located in Jiaozuo in Henan Province".

Seems like a new deal. I doubt that there's much real world experience with them.

Google it. There's more general info out there. They are definitely cheap in price...

I recently had a set of Gladiator ST225/75R-15, 10 ply put on our 3124.
I purchased them at Les Schwab, a huge western tire retailer.
They recommended them highly saying they held up very well.
Being 10 ply I thought they might be overkill but they did not have the 8 ply version in stock and these were just a bit more in price.
They are rated for 2850 lbs apiece.
With balancing and metal valve stems the pair came to $302.

Just out of curiosity, what store? I ended up having to order fully assembled from etrailer and installing myself. That worked out fine, but it would be nice to have somewhere to take it in a pinch.
