Default Dealer markup on new Trailmanors?

I am looking at new and used Trailmanors. Everything I have read online says that new RV sales have huge profit margins and that striking deals of 25-30% off MSRP isn't unheard of.

Then I call Trailmanor dealers and try to strike deals, and they all seem to be around the same numbers, knocking off another $500 or so from the asking price and holding firm.

Can you strike deals with new Trailmanors?

Seems like they are all around $26k-$30k for 2518s and 2720s depending on floorplan.

Is it even worth pursuing more of a discount or are the profit margins truly that thin for them?

Probably the only way you'll get much more off is with hail damage. Ours was 8k off for hail damage.

I heard about those. I asked the Trailmanor rep who was doing an open house at a dealership if they had any more of those at the factory. Looks like I missed them by about 6 months.

Did you get $8k off of MSRP or of the normal asking price they publish?

Dealer had it at 33k then took off the 8k for the hail for a final price of 25k.

Right now RV dealers are having record sales...probably not the best time to buy new because of social distancing people want to travel safely and don't want to stay in hotels or cruise ships. I've been to a few dealers in Florida and there all telling me the same thing...their lots are pretty empty the production line closed up during the virus and now they are starting up again, it's simple economics of supply and demand...

Makes sense...I see most dealers have the trailers listed at 20% below MSRP anyway. I am leaning towards used right now. I found a nice one that appears to be in excellent condition but I would have to get a swing tongue added. I read the posts on here about adding it later. I know an awesome trailer shop near me that says they can do it, but I am still a little concerned.
