RV Power Lift
Has anyone installed the aftermark "RV Power Lift" system to their Trailmanor?
I did a search and found no references to this product.
I am partially disabled and am considering selling my 2003 2720 SD because I find it difficult to open and close.
The TM was adjust by a dealer, and has no unusual weight (solar panel, etc.) on the roof.
Thoughts?
Thank you for any and all suggestions

A web search shows A-frame jacks and wheelchair lifts for the entry of an RV, but no hardware to lift the shells under that name. You can see Tom's solution here: https://trickmytrailmanor.com/easy-opening-pg-5. He's not on this discussion group so you'd have to contact him offline.
A lot of people who grow a little feeble to lift the shells switch to a Lance camper. They seem to be one of the better quality options available in a small and lightweight camper.

RV Powerlift website
The aftermarket shell lift for the TM is at this site.
http://rvpowerlift.com
There are video demos of the product. It seems like a perfect solution, but there is no pricing nor photos of the product.

I don't know if this helps. But if you lower the nose below level it makes it very to open. Rise the nose above level for the rear. Reverse for putting it down.

How funny, this is Bob and Cleo Eickhoff, the former owners of the Trailmanor company. I guess you could call them up.

We don't have any problem putting the trailer up, but taking it down, it's pretty hard for us to get the back fully down. Based on what you said above, would we want to lower the tongue below level to put the back down?
Thanks!

Power Lift
FYI: I sent an e-mail to the address provided on the web site, and it bounced: "Your mail message to the following address(es) could not be delivered.
This is a permanent error."
I tried the phone number, and left a message. We'll see if they're still doing the power lift! It was definitely a personal (not business) voicemail announcement.

If you look at the website for the power lift and view the videos, you will notice that you still need to step on the stirrup to engage the latch. This, I believe, is the hardest part of closing the trailer and the power lift doesn't do that part for you. However, I am convinced that if the torsion bars aren't equally adjusted from side to side, which can occur if one torsion bar fatigues with age faster than the other side, the shell tends to jamb and is difficult to close. It does help to have a second person on the other side pressing down at the same time.
Others have made levers to help with the final closure.

Opening and closing difficult
Thank you, everyone, for each idea.
I'll try raising and lowering the tongue depending on which shell Im closing, because for me that's the hardest part.
I'd also like to travel solo, some times, and find opening and closing without help to be really difficult if not impossible.
I hope the aftermarket lift is available and they respond.
