Default A mutt range

The 2007 TrailManor 3124KB we purchased came with an Atwood range in stainless steel with a folding hood/top and a microwave/toaster combo. We suspected that an oven would be better for us. I lucked out and found a black Atwood range and oven combo in the classifieds here (thanks Mike!).

I realized the black range didn't have electric ignition (with the clicker) as it was a couple years older. However, I was able to swap over the burners from the newer range and the front panel already was drilled for the clicker (it was just stickered over).

I was also able to take the hood/top off of the range and put it top of the range/stove. So it all worked out great.

I also read about the little metal clip/attachment point for the range top breaking off and found mine was semi-flexible so I took the time to put some of the water weld epoxy behind it to hopefully take some of the road stress (see photo).

To mount the range/oven combination, I used some of the side trim at the bottom below the oven as there was about 1.5" of open space. Behind that, I put a piece of dimension 1x2 cedar wood all the way across the back (so braced by the rest of the structure). The oven has two screw tabs on the bottom and I used two long screws to go through the trim and into the cedar strip. So it's on there nice and solid.

Up top, I discovered on the old range they hand't screwed into the support wood beneath the counter. At about 1" down from the counter surface, there is some wood that is ideal for attaching the range. So I drilled some new holes in the new range/oven combo at that height and put in some screws on each side to secure it.
