Default Antenna Crank Handle

My handle fell off. It looks like it is held on by a set screw. There was also a spring inside that I am wondering as to it's purpose.

It puts pressure on the thin nylon washer that seems to seal for leaks and also provides a smooth surface for rotation ????

The spring tensions the dial you turn to direct the antenna. Without it it will spin and not engage.

On mine, the spring locks the antenna position once it is positioned. You pull down on the large ring to turn the ant, then release it to lock the position.

My handle fell off too. But sheared the pin. So now it won't screw back in. I have to put the crank on each time I want to move it. I figure I'm going to have to buy more parts than I want to fool with at this time... So I've left it as is.
