Default roof leak

How do i replace the silicone that's going bad on my 3023 without climbing on top of the roof. I don't want my 200lbs. of weight on it. Thanks.

I'm 220 and I climbed up on top of mine recently (I was very gentle). You might consider using something to spread out your weight, 2x6 or something similar. I bought a caulk scraper from Lowes that doesn't have any metal just sharp plastic edges and it worked great. I went and bought a couple tubes of self-leveling caulk from my local RV store and fixed it right up. It sealed up wonderfully and only took me a couple of hours, best part was I could do it in the garage since I left it folded up.

... and remember NO kneeling on the roof, unless as stated above, you've got something to distribute your weight.

I now use a small piece of plywood with a towel under it with no problems. I originally tried to walk and kneel on it without distributing my weight (before I found this forum), and now have several small dimples up there, I think were left when I knelt as the knee does not distribute the weight as much as a foot. Other than not looking the best, there is no lasting problems with these dimples. If you use a ladder up against the side instead of a step ladder, pad the area where the ladder hits the edge, or you could rub the paint off there also.....another lesson learned.
