AC cord access w/TM folded
What year did TM change the power cord placement to allow plugging it in with the unit closed?
I'm in the market for a replacement TM and this is a great feature.
Thanks,

Dunno, but mines a '06 and we can get to it. If nobody knows for sure, we can work backwards.

My '04 has the AC access while closed.
It's the water that gets me bonkers

I believe it was 2004 when cord access while closed became standard. It was part of the modified shape of the rear bumper, when the bumper went from a diamond-plate cover to a plastic cover. My 2002 had the diamond plate cover - which I still have, by the way. Anyone (Sponsor) want it, no charge? Pick it up this winter in Scottsdale.

My 2003 did not have the electrical access while closed. I did a mod so I could get to the cord while closed.

I just leave my cord hang down about 2' when I close the top. The end of the cord is exposed but causes no problems.

In my 2003 2720SL, directly below the tub (ouside) there is a cap that's held in place by some screws. I've run and a flat extension cord through there. fairly simple. If anyone is interested in this approach, email me and I'll take some pictures. It does not involve any permanent mods, just and extension cord which is completely concealed.
And yes, 2004 was the first year TM implemented the exterior plug-in.

I would love to see pictures. I have a 1999 3023. Not sure if it would work, but I can hope!

I'll post an outside picture tomorrow and more detailed pictures the next time we go camping... end of September.
