Toilet / Blue Tote

What is the total capacity (gallons) of the toilet when full? I am curious as to the size of the black water Blue Tote needed. I could have used a Blue Tote in the campground the other day.

As far as I can recall, it's about 6 gallons. We have a 10 gallon blue tote and the Thetford never fills it up. However, the grey water does and requires more than one trip to the dump station.

B and D, you are correct. I can vouch from personal experience that a 5-gallon blue tote is not big enough. It's close, but close doesn't count when it comes to potty issues. A 10-gallon tote will be more than enough for the toilet. Or you can do what we do, which is to mark the toilet gauge with a marker at the spot where the 5-gallon tote will handle it and drain it a little early (I prefer the portability of the 5-gallon tote).
